Week 1 (24th   April -28th  April)
  • Mindmap
  • Brief
  • Project Proposal
  • Action Plan
This week I started to come up with ideas for my FMP, I did research and explored my ideas with a mind map, I then wrote my project proposal to help guide the rest of my project. I then wrote this action plan to help me use my remaining time wisely.

Week 2 (1st May – 5th May)
  • ·     Technical Case Studies
  • ·     Creative Case Studies
  •    Street Photography Research
  • ·     Conceptual Shoot 1 (WAIST PHOTOGRAPHY)
This week I mainly focused on research. I studied 6 different photographers, looking at both the technical side of their work and also their conceptual side. I also did a bit of research on street photography so I could learn a little bit more about it, however I will be needing to do more research in the future to give me more ideas and to help my understanding. I also came up with the main focus of my FMP, the subject I have chosen is street photography which the theme of surveillance. On thursday I also did a conceptual shoot where I went to London to practice my street photography; when I evaluated the shoot it helped my explore what I could do to make my next shoots more effective.
Week 3 (8th May – 12th May)
  • ·     Technical Shoot Plans
  • ·     Conceptual Shoot Plans
  •    Research
  •       Artist Responses
  •       Image Based Solutions
This week I completed all my research, exploring different types of street photography with the theme of surveillance. I also research the facts on being watched with CCTV and explored a few extra photographers whose work has the same theme as my project. I also wrote out all of my shoot plans for this project which will help me explore my idea to its full potential. I have decided that I am not going to do a final shoot at the end of my project but instead, gather the best images from all my conceptual shoots and present them in the final exhibition. Finally, to go with my artist case studies, I completed image based solutions, whereby I created my own version of the artists photography. I also created some artist responses for each individual photographer; this helped me understand the theme of the specific photographer in more detail. I have also been writing a bibliography as I go of all my research.

Week 4 (15th May – 19th May)
  • ·     Peer Evaluation
  •    Conceptual Shoot 2 (ICELAND)
  • ·     Technical Shoots 1,2 (PHOTOSHOP)
  • ·     Evaluating
  •        Hockney Review
This week I have been focusing in on completing some of my conceptual and technical shoots. For two of my technical shoots, I have focused on Photoshop skills; these shoots are helpful when it comes to learning new techniques and skills that I will be able to use in my future photographs. I also have been evaluating the shoot that I completed when I went to Iceland, as well as choosing the best images from that shoot which will be later put on my website. After completing  a few conceptual shoots, I am learning what works well and what I could do to improve; this will help me develop on my future shoots.

Week 5 (22nd May – 26th May)
  • ·     Conceptual Shoot 3  (SURVEILLANCE)
  • ·     Technical Shoots 3,4 (SHUTTER SPEED AND NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY)
  • ·     Evaluating

This week I have been focusing on more conceptual and technical shoots, as well as evaluating them so see what I could improve on for next time.  My conceptual shoot was not successful at first so I had to redo it because I knew that I could improve on my images. Doing these shoots has helped me develop my ideas and given me some final images that will be shown in my exhibition.

Week 6 (29th May – 2nd June)
  • ·     Conceptual Shoots 4 (LONDON)
  • ·     Evaluating
This week I have been focused mostly on evaluating all my work and seeing what I could do to improve. I also did another conceptual shoot which I completed in London. This shoot I believe was my most successful because I used all the skills and practises that I had done on my previous shoots and made them better.

Week 7 (5th June – 6th June)
  • ·     Presentation Research
  •        Presentation Case Study and Exhibition Role Completion
  • ·     Final Images
  • ·     Final Evaluation
  •       Website
As I have completed all my conceptual and technical shoots, this week I was focusing on my final exhibition. I researched ways to present my images and as a class we all decided who was going to have what role in setting up or putting down the exhibition. I also have decided on my final images that I am going to show in the exhibition along with the props I am going to use and where about I am going to show it. I also made a website to showcase all my favourite work from the exhibition.

Week 8 (12th June – 13th June)
  • ·     Exhibition Preparation
As my role in the exhibition is not until the end, I spent this week going over all my work and seeing what could be done to improve all my work I have completed for my project, this included checking for spelling or punctuation mistakes and also ensuring that all my research was correct and well written.
Final Exhibition – (19th June - 23rd June)

My role in the exhibition was to take all the photography work down at the end. This was completed on the 23rd June after the exhibition had been up for the week.
