For this project we were asked to produce a triptych of Harlow Town to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the creation of Harlow as we know it today. We have been commissioned by Harlow Museum with the theme of Reflections old and new. My starting point will be from researching images of Harlow from the past decades, starting with the 50s then moving on to the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and into the twenty-first century. My final triptych must contain at least one person facing the camera.
In the build up to my final triptych I will do a lot of research on photographers and other artists to see what works and what does not. I will also investigate different types of triptychs to expand my creativity. I will also do some practical experiments so I can more easily understand how to produce triptychs, I will learn how to scale them properly and other information and techniques such as resolution, refining edges and also angles of view. This will all build up to ensure that my final triptych is the best that it can be.
